Disney Animation Panel

One of the benefits of always being on the computer is I always know what's going on- in the DC/MD and occasionally Philly, anyway. This "gift" came in handy this week when my friends and I found out about a hughly UNpublicized Disney Animation Panel at the National Press Club which included appearances by Chelsea Kane, Alyson Stoner, Kyle Massey and other Disney executives including the creators of Phineas and Ferb and Fish Hooks.

The panel discussion started at 7 pm and began with a short introduction about Disney animation and where that animation is going in the future. Which included a preview of three new Disney Channel shows.

Check out these picture previews of the shows:

After that the people from Fish Hooks took the stage to talk about their show. They talked about the creative process from creating the actual show to the voice acting involved in bringing Milo, Oscar and Bea to life. Then the stars acted out a scene from the show.

Then the cast of Phineas and Ferb took the places of the Fish Hooks stars and they talked about the same topics with regards to the production of their Disney Channel hit and they introduced themselves in their character voices.

The final event of the night, before the short, free for all meet and greet, was a Q&A session with the panel. Seeing as most of the audience was made up of children most of the questions were super cute.

During the quick meet and greet I b lined for Chelsea Kane. She was just as sweet as she seems on tv. Once I had her for the m&g of course I kept her for myself for a little longer and got a regular and a funny picture taken with her.

Overall the night was the best $12 I've ever spent! I even ended up meeting Constantine Maroulis outside the theater where Rock of Ages was playing in DC.

Check out the pictures & videos from the event below.

AND I just so happened to pick up a few extra goodie bags from the event and I have one to give away to a very lucky Tune Into L reader. To enter leave a comment below with an email we can contact you at and tell us what your favorite animated series or movie is. For an additional entry you can tag us in a tweet about this contest.
